Photo London 2019, Somerset House
This year I was showing new large scale colour work from my latest project 'Nevada'. Thirty years of road tripping in the American West with persistent human loneliness at the very core of 'Nevada' encompassing the 'loneliest road in America', Highway 50 East. These works were shown alongside small black and white bromide hand-prints from my project 'Forever Starts Now'. This project was conceived on Valentines Day 1994, photographing the McDonalds' style wedding culture in Las Vegas. I went on to photograph over one hundred couples getting hitched on roller coasters, helicopters, drive-ins and of course the quirky iconic wedding chapels.
